Rhythm of Wind
Rhythm of Wind is a Land Art piece utilizing repurposed metal material. The rods are erected in a curvilinear formation in the vast field, suggesting the flow and cadence of wind patterns. The work seeks to imbue characteristics of nature into man-made materials, as a reminder of our part and place in the larger scope of the environment.
Earth Iron
Earth Iron is a new series of sculptures, public works assembled from recycled and surplus materials in the natural yet industrial landscape of contemporary China. Earth Iron explores the possibility of recycled material in the landscape surrounding our urban centers. How can public art sculpture create new monuments, new experiences of this discarded material? This initial project, part of a larger installation series, was recently completed while in residency at Shantou University's public art design program in December 2014-January 2015.
BEACON
Shown at the 14th Venice Biennale of Architecture, the work involves the repurposing of Murano Glass in a new and fresh form.
